The little old casa

I had walked this beach many times in our many visits to the area.  Often I had seen this little old house set way back on the beach.  After many years of staying at our condo in Guayabitos we decided that we loved the area and were going to build a new house with some apartments that friends and guests could enjoy.  With the help of Real Estate Agent Sebastian Marin in the winter of 2006-2007 we found this little piece of heaven right on the beach in La Penita.  It was the very same house I had looked at often and wondered who lived there because it was always empty.

 

We lived in the little old house for the winter of 2007-2008 and planned and planned and planned.  There is really a lot of planning to do in Mexico to get all the permissions that you need.

 

By the winter of 2008-2009 we were ready and construction started in October of 2008 and we finished in May of 2009.   Not always a labor of love but like having a child you forget about the pain when you see the result.

 

We feel we have maximized the property for total enjoyment. There is a large heated pool., palapa area and bar-b que station.  Just out side the beautiful stone wall is the  BEACH.  It is a lovely sandy beach safe for swimming and boogie boarding on the more blustery days.

 

Enjoy the beach with the umbrellas, and chairs that we have , sit by the pool and sip a cold one, or just read in the shade of the palapa.  This really is a little piece of heaven.
